EDMONTON, ALBERTA. Habitat for Humanity Edmonton has built homes and served families in need of affordable homeownership for the past 30 years. Through the support of dedicated partners, donors, and volunteers across northern Alberta, Habitat Edmonton has helped more than 750 families find the strength, stability, and independence that comes through affordable homeownership.
Habitat Edmonton is excited to announce that, after a rigorous screening process via a selection committee, they have attracted a group of diverse and compassionate individuals from the communities they serve to be part of the Habitat Community Advisory Council (CAC). The CAC will provide high-level recommendations to the Habitat Board of Directors in the areas of, but not limited to, affordable housing, industry and innovation, and critical issues affecting Habitat’s communities.
The first meeting took place on June 3, 2021 and the CAC is set to meet quarterly to support Habitat in remaining true to its mission by acting as a liaison to the partner families and communities it serves.
More information about the Community Advisory Council, the Selection Committee, and the application process can be found at HFH.org/cac.
