our impact

last updated May 15, 2025

we bring communities together to help families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

907

families, couples, or individuals in need of affordable homeownership have moved into affordable homes across northern Alberta.

907 families (3,469 people) have been empowered through affordable homeownership, which serves as the catalyst for a better life, providing improved social and financial stability.

Over half of the homeowners served have moved on from the Habitat program thanks to our BuyBack Program. Through this program, homeowners sell their home back to Habitat and use their equity as a down payment for a home on the open market or on other meaningful life goals. Once Habitat buys back the home, it is renovated or repaired and sold to another eligible family.
