Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, they primarily support affordable housing construction for individuals. Their shelves contain various items from books, electronics, cds/movies/tapes, kitchen utensils, furniture, alongside garden, construction materials and wood. You’ll find there are quite decent furniture donations here and plenty of things to fill up the home and various spaces. No coupons necessary, their prices are really reasonable compared to other places. This is a real non-profit with a closed loop business model and high financial transparency.

About ReStore Sherwood Park

ReStore Sherwood Park is on Streambank Avenue in the north end of Sherwood Park between Baseline Road and Highway 16, and is easy to reach from the Henday and makes for a quick detour for anyone driving on Highway 16.

It is the closest ReStore for Strathcona County: Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Josephburg and Fort Saskatchewan, as well as the east Edmonton neighbourhoods along Baseline and the Yellowhead.

ReStore Sherwood Park opened on January 19, 2021, in a purpose-built 20,000-square-foot store on the corner of Broadmoor and Streambank Avenue. Habitat for Humanity Edmonton has a long relationship with Strathcona County (between 2009 and 2021); eighteen local families moved into Habitat homes here, and the community has supported the organization at every step.

Every purchase here does two things at once. It gives quality new and used furniture, cabinetry, tools and building materials a second life, and it funds Habitat for Humanity Edmonton’s work creating affordable homeownership opportunities for local individuals and families.

Shopping at ReStore Sherwood Park

ReStore Sherwood Park is open seven days a week, including Sundays, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is one of the few Strathcona County secondhand stores offering new and used home improvement and renovation items that is also open on a Sunday.

This location has a reputation among regulars for being easy to shop. The floor is well-laid out and merchandised carefully rather than piled high, so it is possible to walk the store properly instead of digging. On any given visit, you might find furniture, kitchen cabinetry, doors, lighting, plumbing and electrical fixtures, hardware and tools, appliances, housewares and seasonal décor. This store receives more donations than any other in our network, which is why furniture, housewares and home décor move especially strongly here.

The team here is a genuine part of why people come back. Shoppers routinely acknowledge staff who track down a specific item, flag a sale they may have missed, or pick up the other end of a table on the way to the parking lot without being asked.

Because everything is either donated or a palette purchase, our sales floor changes constantly, and regulars will often choose to come through weekly to see what great new items have found their way into our inventory since their last visit.

There is plenty of parking by the main entrance off Broadmoor Avenue and along the Streambank Avenue side, including designated accessible spots and a donation bay for dropping off items.
