ReStore South is located on 99 Street between Whitemud Drive and Whyte Avenue, in the Coronet area, and is an easy stop for anyone driving the 99 Street corridor between south Edmonton and Old Strathcona.
The store serves the neighbourhoods around it: Argyll, Hazeldean, Avonmore, King Edward Park, Ritchie, Bonnie Doon, Strathcona, Pleasantview and Duggan, along with shoppers coming up from Millwoods and the south side to this central location.
At roughly 43,000 square feet, with about 30,000 of that given over to the shopping floor, ReStore South is the largest of our six locations. It was Habitat for Humanity Edmonton’s fourth store, opening quietly in June 2017 and holding its grand opening that September.
Every purchase here does two things at once. It gives quality new and used furniture, cabinetry, tools and building materials a second life, and it funds Habitat for Humanity Edmonton’s work creating affordable homeownership opportunities for local individuals and families.
ReStore South is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed on Sundays. This is different from some of our other locations and is worth noting if you are planning a weekend run, since Saturday is the only weekend day that we are currently open. Check back in mid-August 2026, as we will be expanding our hours of operation to 7 days a week.
This location tends to have more home accents and furnishings than some of our other ReStore locations. Shoppers come through for furniture, mirrors, artwork and framed prints, lamps and light fixtures, dishes and glassware, books, small appliances, décor, and a steady supply of plumbing, electrical and hardware odds and ends.
It has become a regular stop for the upcycling crowd. Solid older furniture that would cost a fortune new turns up here constantly, and a good share of it leaves with someone who already has a power sander and a plan. Because everything is either donated or a palette purchase, the sales floor changes from week to week; regulars drop in often to see what new items have arrived rather than waiting for one specific piece to appear.
There is on-site parking, wheelchair access to the store, and two loading bays for loading large pieces onto a vehicle.
