Whether your goals are teambuilding, gaining exposure for your business or simply to get together as a group with some of your favorite people, you will make a difference in our community. We are currently recruiting groups of volunteers ranging in size from 5 to 20.
Here is how your group can get involved:
Option 1. Team Build: your group builds homes and hope on site
Sign up as a Community Support Group; book one day - or more - to work on a build site with your group! Simply fill out the Group Registration Form and fax it to 780.451.3727 or email it to Kim at ksherwood@hfh.org.
Option 2. Team Build: support Habitat financially and gain exposure for your business/organization
Sign up as an Adopt-a-Day group! Adopt-a-Day is a team building event that offers recognition to your business or group. Your group receives tee shirts, on site signage with your logo, website recognition, lunch and digital picture of your group that you can proudly display in your office. The cost is $165 per participant or a flat rate of $2,500 for groups of 16 or more. Lunch Support
Lunch is an incredibly significant aspect of the Habitat for Humanity Edmonton volunteer experience. Dedicated volunteers and the families who are working on their homes enjoy a meal together every single day on each Habitat site. As volunteers and families work and eat together, community grows, neighbours are engaged in the lives of others, and volunteers are given meaningful thank you for their work: lunch.
We can only provide lunch for all of our volunteers through the contributions of churches, community groups and community-minded businesses.
Options include hosting lunch by preparing and serving lunch, or a cash donation which will sponsor lunch that we order in. Please contact us with any questions or to book a date and that is suitable for you or your group. Please contact Kim Manderson for more information (780.451.3416 ext 226)
Online Pledging
Want to rally the troops and support us financially as part of your Habitat volunteer experience? Regardless of whether you have booked an Adopt-a-Day, a Community Support Day or are unable to come out to our build sites, our online pledging system is a fun and easy way to participate. Each participant has their own personal fundraising page to track donations, upload photos, and send updates to their contacts. Some companies are willing to match certain amount for every dollar raised by their employees! The funds raised through our online pledging go towards building homes and serving families. How to schedule a build date
Please fill out your Group Registration Form and submit it to us by fax (780.451.3727) or email Kim at ksherwood@hfh.org. We will confirm dates with you once we receive your completed Group Registration Form. We will send out a confirmation package which includes paperwork for all participants as well as instructions for your team leader.
